How to play Christmas bingo

  1. Choose how many cards to make, one per player, then press Make cards and Print cards.
  2. Hand out the cards with mini marshmallows, peppermints, or small candies as markers.
  3. Call out the holiday words one at a time, or let the Bingo Caller draw them on screen in words mode.
  4. The first player with five in a row shouts “Ho ho ho!” and wins a small prize.

Christmas bingo for classrooms, families, and offices

Bingo is a holiday party favorite because it’s easy to run for any size group and anyone can win. Every card here uses a different mix of words like Gingerbread house, Ugly sweater, Snow globe, and Milk and cookies, so no two players have the same card.

Party tips

  • Prizes don’t need to be big. Candy canes, stickers, or picking the next holiday song are plenty.
  • Play different patterns. Five in a row, four corners, a big X, then a full card blackout for the grand prize.
  • Mix in your traditions. Add your family’s or team’s own holiday moments to the word list.
  • Pair it with a gift exchange. Run the bingo game while everyone arrives, then move on to the gifts.

Frequently asked questions

Can I make holiday bingo that isn't only about Christmas?

Yes. Change the title to Holiday Bingo or Winter Bingo, remove the words you don’t want, and add your own, such as winter activities or other holidays your group celebrates.

Does it work for an office holiday party?

Yes. Add work-themed words, like your team’s inside jokes or “someone wears a reindeer sweater,” and play during the party. It pairs well with a Secret Santa or a White Elephant exchange.

How many different cards can I make?

Up to 100 at once, and no two are the same. The list has more than 50 words, so cards vary a lot.

Can we play on phones instead of paper?

Yes. Make the cards, then each player can tap squares on screen to mark them. To give everyone their own card, make one card at a time on each device.
