Built for the front of the room
- Calling on students fairly. The Random Name Picker can remove each name after it’s drawn, so every student gets a turn before anyone is called twice. The Wheel Spinner does the same with more drama.
- Making groups. Paste your class list into the Team Generator and choose either the number of groups or the number of students per group.
- Games and warm-ups. Use the Random Letter Generator for categories games, the Random Word Generator for drawing and vocabulary games, and the Dice Roller or Random Number Generator for math practice.
- Geography practice. The Random Country Generator can be limited to a single continent.
- Seating charts. The Seating Chart Generator seats the class at random and keeps chatty pairs apart.
- Review games. Put vocabulary on cards with the Bingo Card Generator, run a charades round, or hold a class tournament bracket.
Tips for using these tools in class
- Most tools have a Full screen button that makes results large enough to read from the back of the room.
- Your class list is saved in your browser, so it’s still there next lesson on the same computer. Nothing is uploaded, and students’ names never leave your device.
- Showing students that a picker is random, and that it removes names once they’ve been chosen, helps the selection feel fair, not personal.
