How to make a round-robin schedule
- List the teams or players, one per line.
- Leave Shuffle the order first on for a random schedule, and turn on Play everyone twice for a home-and-away season.
- Press Make schedule, then copy it, download it as a CSV for Excel or Google Sheets, or print it.
How the schedule works
The generator uses the classic circle method: one team stays put while everyone else rotates one spot each round. The result is a schedule where every pair meets exactly once, every team plays once per round, and nobody plays twice in a row against the same opponent. Who is listed first alternates, so home and away games even out.
Not just for sports
- Leagues and tournaments. Pickleball ladders, chess clubs, fantasy leagues, and office foosball seasons.
- Game nights. Make sure everyone gets a turn against everyone else.
- Rotating pairs at work. List your team to schedule coffee chats, pair programming, or peer reviews. Each round is a set of pairs, and no pair repeats until everyone has met.
- Classrooms. Rotate partners for debates or peer feedback.
